North Kingston Choir

Your first rehearsal after being offered a place is free of charge. It lets you get a feel for the way we run rehearsals, hear the music we sing, and get to know some of the other singers before you decide if you definitely want to join. If you don’t know which part you sing, you can try different parts until you find a pitch that suits your voice best.

The subscription fee is currently £55 per term. If you are unable to pay this amount, the choir committee is able to consider applications confidentially and reduce fees in certain cases depending on financial circumstances.

Included in the subscription fee is access to the members area of our website, with practice recordings for the different parts, as well as music scores and word sheets to print off prior to rehearsals.

 

An important part of our choir life is the social aspect where new friendships flourish. We place a limit on our numbers to keep the group informal and sociable. This means that when interest exceeds vacancies, we operate a waiting list based on date of enquiry. To ensure musical balance there are separate waiting lists for different voice parts.

 

Status update: Our women's waiting list is currently closed.  We welcome enquiries from men who are interested in joining the Choir.
